You hit diamond league before you have to micro or know ♥♥♥♥ about the game.
And Britons happen to be one of those civs, but I think a knight civ is probably easier to use.Įither that or huns, its probably easier to learn how macro works if you don't keep getting housed.Īt the very least, the "pick a simple easy strategy and just learn how to macro" strategy is good in starcraft. So I'd reccomend any civ where its very simple and obvious how to play. Just build villagers constantly, spend your money, if you're doing those 2 you're probably already above average. And that's all a new player should be doing. And if a new player is trying to figure out what units they should build and how to micro cav + archer + mangonel + etc all at once, they're not macroing. Because with Britons, its very obvious what you're going to do every game. I would actually reccomend a civ like Britons (not necessarily them) though. But yeah they're not super noob friendly. To be fair on the first point, noobs also don't know how to micro against the extra range. (3) Cheaper TC doesnt really matter as noobs have zero idea about booming with extra TCs. (2) Lack of thumb ring makes their xbows / arbs bad in straight fights. (1) They dont know how to micro with the extra range. Britons arent really that good for noobs : Though when playing them live you only need 5 on sheep instead of the usual 6 as they have an eco bonus that makes villagers on sheep work 25% faster.
I also reccommend downloading the mod "Interactive Build Order Guide" and learn one of the archer build orders. Britons is a civ that is loved by noobs and pros alike. They also have decent dock tech so can work well on hybrid maps. Formables are civilizations that dont exist that can be made by a civilization Have 1000 gold Have at least 2.4 Diplomacy Points Must be at peace Is not a vassal The country being created does not exist The countrys capital is in a certain province Owns all required provinces (differs between each formable) Listed alphabetically.
Britons also have a full tech blacksmith and a strong barracks with champion and halbs which makes them versatile and gives some good options when it comes to tech-switching, though their stable is bad.
